Research Technicicans

David joined the Walter Lab in 2017 to conduct his Honours’ research project on the invasive weed, Prickly Acacia. Specifically, he genetically characterised the invasive populations of the weed and related them phylogenetically to the endemic Australian species in the same genus.

 

David is now employed as a research technician in the Walter Lab, assisting other lab members with work on glyphosate resistance in weeds, crop-pest nematodes and looking into new and effective herbicides for agricultural and ecological weeds
