I am an insect ecologist that studies the host use of generalist herbivores, and their persistence in diverse environments.

My projects provide applied outcomes (such as pest management recommendations) that also explore the behavioural mechanisms that drive observed ecological patterns. My current project investigates the multiple host use of mirids in Australia, and their movement patterns across the arid continental interior and subcoastal agricultural systems.

I am also interested about understanding the philosophical framework in which scientists develop ecological theories, and how the public interprets these theories (typically spread through pop culture).
